HatchKit reads and displays hatch pattern definition files. Visually edit then replace or save as a new or existing file in format syutable for your CAD system. Translation between the many file formats is automatic.

Draw a new pattern template containing a mix of rectangles, ellipses, lines, dots and infinite lines within the editor or import the template design via DXF or copy/paste from your CAD system. Arrange your pattern by spacing in any two directions free from any rectangular or square tiling constraints.

HatchKit's layering capability easily manages apparently random concrete or geologic patterns.

Editing tools - object and grid snap, select, delete, cut, copy, paste, undo and redo, zoom and pan.

Rescale entire patterns.

Stretch, mirror, skew, rotate and move individual layers.

easy to use for beginners and professionals alike

I expected to be able to "draw" the hatch pattern or edit an exisitng one.
There seemed to be no facility to specify a line length, or if there was an existing line, no faciltly to change the end point, or edit the length. It was therefore not clear on how to create a pattern

Can`t install

I downloaded with the hope of finding an application that would allow me to make custom hatch patterns, that could be used with Revit particularly.
After saving the file, I was never able to install it. Double clicking on the setup.exe file would initiate the install, but never got any further

Author's Response:

HatchKit 2.6 does not install on Windows XP 64-Bit.

We are about to release Version 2.7 which apart from introducing extra functioanlity will install on Windows XP 64-bit.
